Veneers
Dental veneers, also referred to as porcelain veneers, are thin shells consisting of materials that are the same color as regular teeth. Veneers are added to the surfaces of teeth to make smiles look that much more attractive. The veneer shells connect to the front surfaces of teeth, altering their length, shape, color and even size.
Dental veneers consist of resin composite materials and porcelain. Veneers of the porcelain variety aren’t stained as easily as those of the resin variety. Veneers also succeed at reflecting light similar to natural teeth, creating the impression that the teeth are not covered by shells. Dental veneers can be used to beautify teeth that have become discolored as a result of expansive resin fillings, excessive fluoride, root canals, staining, general wear, breaks, chips, gaps and misalignments.
The application of dental veneers typically requires at least a couple trips to our dentist’s office in Daytona Beach. The initial visit is for a consultation. The next appointment is used to set the stage to prepare the veneers. The veneers are applied during the next appointment. Our dentist can add veneers to one or several teeth during your appointments, consolidating the application of those shells into as few visits as possible.
